Grammy Award-winning artist/producer duo The Chainsmokers & producer/DJ ILLENIUM have released new single “Takeaway” featuring vocals from rising pop star and Columbia labelmate Lennon Stella.

Directed by Jeremiah Davis, the video features all four artists and was shot at The Vessel at Hudson Yards in New York City. Speaking about the video, The Chainsmokers said, “We are so lucky to have had the opportunity to be one of the first artists to create a music video with The Vessel! We are from New York so to be a part of something that will be a huge part of New York City history is incredibly special to us. We also had to run up a ton of stairs in this video all day so we hope people appreciate that hahaha...”

“Takeaway” follows the release of The Chainsmokers’ most recent single “Call You Mine” featuring Bebe Rexha, which has accumulated over 175 million global streams to date. Both tracks are included on The Chainsmokers’ ongoing building album, World War Joy, along with previously released songs “Do You Mean” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and bülow, “Kills You Slowly” and “Who Do You Love” featuring 5 Seconds of Summer, which hit Top 10 at Pop Radio. The album will continue to build one song at a time over the course of 2019.

Fans can also catch The Chainsmokers live on their massive “WORLD WAR JOY” North American headline arena tour this fall with 5 Seconds of Summer. Lennon Stella, fresh off the heels of her first ever sold out North American headline tour and successful debut EP Love, me, will join as the opener on all dates.

Grammy® Award-winning and Billboard Chart topping artist/producer duo, The Chainsmokers, have evolved into a dominating musical force with a diverse repertoire of songs that have led them to become one of music’s hottest recording artists.  Comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, their signature sound deftly reaches across indie, progressive and pop realms and has seen them develop some of the biggest breakthrough songs over the course of the last few years. In 2016, the group catapulted to worldwide stardom with 3 Multi-Platinum certified hits - “Roses,” featuring Rozes, “Don’t Let Me Down” featuring Daya and “Closer,” featuring Halsey, which went on to become the longest running #1 single of 2016 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In April of 2017, the group released their debut album via Disruptor/Columbia Records titled Memories…Do Not Open. The album, which has been certified Platinum, debuted at #1 in the U.S. on the Billboard 200 chart and produced Multi-Platinum certified smash hits “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” featuring Coldplay. In December 2018, The Chainsmokers released building album Sick Boy, which includes the Gold certified single “This Feeling,” featuring Kelsea Ballerini and “Side Effects,” featuring longtime collaborator Emily Warren.

Most recently the duo has released new music to comprise their latest building album, titled World War Joy, which includes “Takeaway” with ILLENIUM featuring Lennon Stella, “Call You Mine” featuring Bebe Rexha, Gold-certified Top 10 single “Who Do You Love” featuring multi-Platinum band 5 Seconds of Summer, “Kills You Slowly” and “Do You Mean” featuring Dolla $ign and bülow. Additionally, the duo has been nominated for a 2019 MTV Video Music Award, multiple 2019 Teen Choice Awards and was honored with two wins at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards for Top Dance/Electronic Artist and Top Dance/Electronic Album for Sick Boy. Fans can catch The Chainsmokers live this fall headlining their “WORLD WAR JOY” North American arena tour. The duo will also maintain their extended Wynn Nightlife Residency in Las Vegas and will continue releasing music and touring across the globe throughout 2019.

ILLENIUM unlocks heightened levels of escapism. The Denver-based artist born Nick Miller fashions an otherworldly sonic retreat from elements of ethereal electronic, rich alternative, complex dubstep, intimate indie, and propulsive pop-punk and delivers show-stopping sensory experiences on stage anchored by cinematic visuals and organic instrumentation. He magnifies this vision on his third full-length, ASCEND [Astralwerks].

Emerging in 2013, ILLENIUM carefully positioned himself to forge an enduring emotional connection. His 2016 full-length debut, Ashes, paved the way for a breakthrough on Awake a year later. Not only did it bow at #1 on the iTunes Top Electronic Albums Chart in 12 countries, but Billboard also crowned it one of the “10 Best Dance/Electronic Albums of 2017.” Dancing Astronaut went as far as to claim, “While it might seem premature to call an album a ‘masterpiece,’ no other title would fit Awake so well.” Its lead single “Feel Good” [feat. Daya] with Griffin gathered over 120 million Spotify streams as his total stream tally crossed the billion-mark by 2019. Not to mention, he regularly averaged upwards of 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The seminal Awake Live Tour brought him into arenas between appearances at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, EDC, Decadence, Electric Forest, Paradiso, and Coachella. For ASCEND, he employed live instrumentation and co-wrote the most material yet for a project, collaborating alongside Rock Mafia [Eminem, Marshmello] in Los Angeles in addition to working out of his home studio in Denver. He initially set the stage for the record by way of “Pray” [feat. Kameron Alexander] and “Crashing” [feat. Bahari] before igniting the single “Good Things Fall Apart” [feat. Jon Bellion]. A powder keg of pop-punk energy and artful electronic soundscapes, the track exploded as a cross-format smash. As ASCEND comes to life in historic venues such as Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, ILLENIUM accesses the purest form of escapism.

19 year-old Ontario, Canada native Lennon Stella first gained national attention in 2012 when her and sister Maisy’s cover of Robyn’s “Call your Girlfriend” went viral (their YouTube channel has over 100 million views and nearly 800,000 subscribers.) That same year, Lennon landed her starring role in the hit television show Nashville as Maddie Conrad. 2018 was an exciting year for Lennon as she signed her first label deal with RECORDS LLC. / Columbia Records. She released her debut solo EP Love, me in November, which debuted in the top 5 of Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart. In the spring of 2019, Lennon embarked on her first-ever North American headline tour in support of Love, me, which included sold-out shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more. She also joined Anne-Marie as a special guest on the singer/songwriter’s trek across the UK and Europe and is performing at prominent festivals across North America this summer. Lennon has been featured in numerous year end lists and was recently named a VEVO DSCVR Artist, Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing, one of Teen Vogue’s ‘16 Young Musicians You need to Be Listening to in 2019,’ and one of Refinery29’s ‘Young Celebrities to Watch in 2019.’
