NABARD recognizes Kottaram Agro Foods (Soulfull) for its Contribution in Reviving Millets

Bengaluru, India – 15 July, 2019: Kottaram Agro Foods, the parent company of Soulfull, the delicious millet based snacking brand, has been awarded as ‘The Promising Agro Start-up’ by National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) for their exceptional work in reinventing millets and transforming them into consumer packaged foods. Their initiatives have helped both farmers and consumers alike.  Kottaram Agro Foods’ contribution has given a boost to the farmers to grow millets which has multi-fold benefits to the farmers, the consumers and the ecosystem. Mr. Prashant Parameswaran, Founder, CEO and MD of Soulfull was felicitated by Sri Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs on NABARD’s 38th Foundation day Seminar which was held on 12th July, 2019 at Stein Auditorium in Delhi.

NABARD is an apex Indian development financial institution of the Government of India with a mandate for providing and regulating credit for the development of agricultural industries. With a vision of promoting integrated rural development and prosperity NABARD recognizes and awards selected corporate houses whose work directly contributes to the improvement of the agricultural and other small-scale industries resulting in rural development. The facilitation of winners is a tradition of NABARD that takes place on their Foundation Day every year.
